The Clearwater Economic Development Authority is proud to spotlight Clear Waters Outfitting, a locally owned outdoor recreation business that has been helping residents and visitors discover the beauty of the Mississippi River since 2009.
Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, CW Outfitting has become a destination for outdoor enthusiasts of every experience level. Whether you're planning your very first paddle or embarking on a multi-day river adventure, their knowledgeable team is passionate about helping every guest experience the river safely and confidently.
Visitors can choose from fully equipped canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard rentals, with convenient shuttle service that makes planning a point-to-point trip effortless. With the transportation already taken care of visitors can enjoy their time on the river selecting between 5, 8 or 13 mile paddle excursions. New this season, CW Outfitting is introducing river tubing, offering another relaxing way to enjoy a day floating down the Clearwater River.
Beyond rentals, CW Outfitting offers guided smallmouth bass fishing excursions led by experienced anglers, paddling and kayaking instruction for beginners through advanced paddlers, and one of the Midwest's only dedicated canoe and kayak repair shops. Their year-round pro shop features fishing kayaks, canoes, recreational kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, life jackets, outdoor gear, and specialized kayak fishing equipment, allowing customers to test-paddle and find the equipment that's right for their next adventure.
Serving more than 1,000 customers each year, CW Outfitting welcomes families, anglers, outdoor adventurers, and everyone in between. Their knowledgeable team of 20 employees is dedicated to creating memorable outdoor experiences while providing exceptional customer service.
Originally established under the leadership of Dan and Sandra Meer, CW Outfitting built a strong reputation throughout the Greater St. Cloud area for quality outfitting services and community involvement. Today, under the ownership of Erik Aleckson, the business continues to build on that legacy while embracing an exciting vision for the future.
